SPACE PIRATE CAPTAIN HARLOCK is a 2013 full CG animation film directed by Shinji Aramaki. This film is a reboot of the manga “Space Pirate Captain Harlock” by Leiji Matsumoto. I participated in this project as art director and concept artist from the pilot production in 2008. The aim was to achieve a completely different CG look from the original anime, which was very challenging in all aspects.
